2. William² Campbell (Patrick¹) was born in VA 1759. William died November 17, 1800 in Lexington, Fayette Co., KY, at 41 years of age.

He married Tabitha Adams Russell in Washington Co., VA, January, 1784. Tabitha was born Culpeper Co., VA 1764. Tabitha was the daughter of Gen. William Russell and Tabitha Adams. Tabitha died 1806 at 42 years of age. At 20 years of age Tabitha became the mother of Mary Campbell 1784. At 20 years of age Tabitha became the mother of Tabitha Russell Campbell January 29, 1785.

At 25 years of age William became the father of Mary Campbell 1784. At 25 years of age William became the father of Tabitha Russell Campbell January 29, 1785. William's will was probated in Muhlenburg Co., KY, February, 1801. William Campbell and his wife settled at Caney Station in Muhlenburg County, KY.

William Campbell and Tabitha Adams Russell had the following children:

3 i. Samuel³ Campbell. He married Cynthia Campbell.

4 ii. Eliza Campbell. Eliza died May 30, 1809. She married Barton W. Stone July 2, 1801. Barton died November 9, 1844.

5 iii. Nancy Campbell. She married Charles F. Wing.

6 iv. Jane Campbell.

7 v. Mary Campbell was born 1784. She married twice. She married Ephraim McLean Brank. Ephraim was born in Greeneville, Muhlenburg Co., KY August 1, 1790. Ephraim was the son of Robert Brank Jr. and Margaret McLean (dau. of Ephraim). Ephraim died 1875 at 84 years of age. (See Ephraim McLean Brank for the continuation of this line.) She married Ephraim McLean Brank. Ephraim was born in Greeneville, Muhlenburg Co., KY August 1, 1790. Ephraim was the son of Robert Brank Jr. and Margaret McLean (dau. of Ephraim). 8 vi. Tabitha Russell Campbell was born January 29, 1785. Tabitha died February 17, 1850 at 65 years of age. She married Judge Alney McLean November 16, 1805. Alney was born in Orange Co., NC June 10, 1779. Alney was the son of Ephraim McLean and Elizabeth Davidson. Alney died December 30, 1841 in Mulenburg Co., KY, at 62 years of age. At 27 years of age Alney became the father of William Campbell McLean February 7, 1807. At 29 years of age Alney became the father of Rev. Ephraim Thornton McLean January 26, 1809. At 31 years of age Alney became the father of Judge Robert Davidson McLean November 11, 1810. At 33 years of age Alney became the father of Eliza Ann Davidson McLean March, 18, 1813. At 35 years of age Alney became the father of Tabitha Russell McLean May 25, 1815. At 38 years of age Alney became the father of Samuel Russell McLean December 29, 1817. At 40 years of age Alney became the father of Alney McLean October 27, 1819. He and brother Charles were twins.

At 40 years of age Alney became the father of Charles McLean October 27, 1819. He and brother Alney were twins.

At 42 years of age Alney became the father of George McLean December 9, 1821. At 48 years of age Alney became the father of Rowena Wilson McLean October 22, 1827. At 48 years of age Alney became the father of Transylvania Roberts McLean October 31, 1827. (See Judge Alney McLean for the continuation of this line.)

At 22 years of age Tabitha became the mother of William Campbell McLean February 7, 1807. At 23 years of age Tabitha became the mother of Rev. Ephraim Thornton McLean January 26, 1809. At 25 years of age Tabitha became the mother of Judge Robert Davidson McLean November 11, 1810. At 28 years of age Tabitha became the mother of Eliza Ann Davidson McLean March, 18, 1813. At 30 years of age Tabitha became the mother of Tabitha Russell McLean May 25, 1815. At 32 years of age Tabitha became the mother of Samuel Russell McLean December 29, 1817. At 34 years of age Tabitha became the mother of Alney McLean October 27, 1819. He and brother Charles were twins.

At 34 years of age Tabitha became the mother of Charles McLean October 27, 1819. He and brother Alney were twins.

At 36 years of age Tabitha became the mother of George McLean December 9, 1821. At 42 years of age Tabitha became the mother of Rowena Wilson McLean October 22, 1827. At 42 years of age Tabitha became the mother of Transylvania Roberts McLean October 31, 1827.
