He married three times. He married Mary C. Mosely. Mary died 1848. Mary became the mother of Hugh Lawson Davidson 1846. Mary became the mother of Mary Rebecca Davidson August 27, 1848. Mary became the mother of Jennie Vance Davidson August 27, 1848. He married Rebecca Mosely. Rebecca died September 29, 1865. Rebecca became the mother of Samuel Leander Davidson Jr. December 1, 1855. He married Mrs. James Norton.
At 34 years of age Samuel became the father of Hugh Lawson Davidson 1846. At 36 years of age Samuel became the father of Mary Rebecca Davidson August 27, 1848. At 36 years of age Samuel became the father of Jennie Vance Davidson August 27, 1848. At 43 years of age Samuel became the father of Samuel Leander Davidson Jr. December 1, 1855.
