11. Hans Michael³ Holt Sr. (Martin², Johann¹) was born in Alsace Platnte, Germany December 30, 1696. Hans died Nov., 1767 in Orange Co., NC, at 70 years of age.

He married Anna Elizabetha Scheible in Spotsylvania, Orange Co., VA, circa 1719. Anna was born in Alsace Platnte, Germany September 17, 1700. Anna was the daughter of Johann Georg (Hans Jerg) Scheible and Maria Eleonora Berger. At 16 years of age Anna became the mother of George Holt in St. George Parish, Spotsylvania, Orange County, VA, 1717. At 20 years of age Anna became the mother of John Holt 1721. At 22 years of age Anna became the mother of Michael Holt Jr. in St George Parish, Spotsylvania, VA, May 6, 1723. At 24 years of age Anna became the mother of Nicholas Holt in Coven, Ireland, 1725. At 24 years of age Anna became the mother of Peter Holt in Orange Co., NC, 1725. Anna became the mother of William Holt in St. George Parish, Spotsylvania, VA, about 1729. At 30 years of age Anna became the mother of Jacob Holt 1731.

At 20 years of age Hans became the father of George Holt in St. George Parish, Spotsylvania, Orange County, VA, 1717. At 24 years of age Hans became the father of John Holt 1721. At 26 years of age Hans became the father of Michael Holt Jr. in St George Parish, Spotsylvania, VA, May 6, 1723. At 28 years of age Hans became the father of Nicholas Holt in Coven, Ireland, 1725. At 28 years of age Hans became the father of Peter Holt in Orange Co., NC, 1725. Hans became the father of William Holt in St. George Parish, Spotsylvania, VA, about 1729. At 34 years of age Hans became the father of Jacob Holt 1731. He was an immigrant from what is now West Germany in a section of Palatinate, Hesse, or Alsace, and arrived in Virginia in 1717.

Hans Michael Holt Sr. and Anna Elizabetha Scheible had the following children:

+ 12 i. Christopher⁴ Holt.

+ 13 ii. George Holt was born 1717.

+ 14 iii. John Holt was born 1721.

+ 15 iv. Michael Holt Jr. was born May 6, 1723.

+ 16 v. Nicholas Holt was born 1725.

17 vi. Peter Holt was born in Orange Co., NC 1725. He married Rachel (married Peter Holt) December 4, 1777.

18 vii. William Holt was born in St. George Parish, Spotsylvania, VA about 1729. William died 1778 in Orange Co., NC, at 49 years of age. He was killed by the Tory, Col. O'Neill.

19 viii. Jacob Holt was born 1731.
