13. Reuben³ Burrow D.D. (Ishmael², Philip¹) was born in Guilford Co., NC June 26, 1798. Reuben died May 13, 1868 in Shelby Co., TN, at 69 years of age. His body was interred after May 13, 1868 in McLemoresville, Madison Co., TN.

He married Elizabeth Weir Bell in near Salem, Franklin Co., TN, February 5, 1828. Elizabeth was born in Winchester, Franklin Co., TN May 16, 1807. Elizabeth was the daughter of John Bell and Nancy Weir. Elizabeth died August 5, 1863 in Warren Co., KY, at 56 years of age. Her body was interred after August 5, 1863 in McLemoresville, Madison Co., TN. At 22 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of John Bell Burrow August 31, 1829. At 25 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Aaron Alexander Burrow July 23, 1832. At 27 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Rev. Albert Gibson Burrow in Madison Co., TN, August 13, 1834. At 29 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Sarah Rebecca Burrow July 17, 1836. At 30 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Mary Jane Burrow February 19, 1838. At 32 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Elizabeth Ann Burrow December 10, 1839. At 34 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Reuben William Burrow September 29, 1841. At 36 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Finis Donnell Burrow May 15, 1844. At 43 years of age Elizabeth became the mother of Mariah Norment Burrow May 18, 1850.

At 31 years of age Reuben became the father of John Bell Burrow August 31, 1829. At 34 years of age Reuben became the father of Aaron Alexander Burrow July 23, 1832. At 36 years of age Reuben became the father of Rev. Albert Gibson Burrow in Madison Co., TN, August 13, 1834. At 38 years of age Reuben became the father of Sarah Rebecca Burrow July 17, 1836. At 39 years of age Reuben became the father of Mary Jane Burrow February 19, 1838. At 41 years of age Reuben became the father of Elizabeth Ann Burrow December 10, 1839. At 43 years of age Reuben became the father of Reuben William Burrow September 29, 1841. At 45 years of age Reuben became the father of Finis Donnell Burrow May 15, 1844. At 51 years of age Reuben became the father of Mariah Norment Burrow May 18, 1850. He was a noted Cumberland Presbyterian minister and first Professor of Theology at Bethel College. He was licensed to preach in 1823 and probably received his training under Rev. Samuel King, his neighbor, at Three Forks Meeting House, in Bedford County, Tennessee. He traveled with Rev. King to Arkansas in 1823, in the work of the church, and to North Carolina and South Carolina with the noted Rev. Albert G. Gibson of Lincoln County, Tennessee, in the years 1826 and 1827. He was married in the winter of 1828 to Elizabeth (Wear) Bell of near Salem, Franklin County, Tennessee. In 1853 or 1854, he received his D.D. Degree from Bethel College.

Reuben Burrow D.D. and Elizabeth Weir Bell had the following children:

28 i. John Bell⁴ Burrow was born August 31, 1829. John died March 25, 1880 at 50 years of age. He married Elizabeth Garmour.

29 ii. Aaron Alexander Burrow was born July 23, 1832. Aaron died September 6, 1862 at 30 years of age.

30 iii. Rev. Albert Gibson Burrow was born in Madison Co., TN August 13, 1834. Albert died March 18, 1909 in Memphis, Shelby Co., TN, at 74 years of age. His body was interred after March 18, 1909 in McLemoresville, Madison Co, TN. He married Elizabeth Polk. He was a Cumberland Presbyterian minister.

31 iv. Sarah Rebecca Burrow was born July 17, 1836. She married David Hutchinson MacGowan.

32 v. Mary Jane Burrow was born February 19, 1838. Mary died May 26, 1918 at 80 years of age. She married Evanter Locke MacGowan.

33 vi. Elizabeth Ann Burrow was born December 10, 1839. Elizabeth died June, 1871 at 31 years of age. She was married twice with no issue.

34 vii. Reuben William Burrow was born September 29, 1841. Reuben died April 13, 1864 at 22 years of age. He never married.

35 viii. Finis Donnell Burrow was born May 15, 1844. Finis died October 13, 1863 at 19 years of age. He never married.

36 ix. Mariah Norment Burrow was born May 18, 1850. Mariah died December 7, 1941 at 91 years of age. She married Tom Tolls Alves.
