1. Jean de¹ Burgogne was born in Dijon, France May 28, 1371. Jean died September 10, 1419 in Montereau, France, at 48 years of age.

He married Margarethe of Bavaria in Cambrai, Nord, France, April 12, 1385. Margarethe was born in Gravenhage, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands 1363. Margarethe died January 23, 1422/23 in Dijon, France, at 59 years of age. Margarethe became the mother of Marie de Burgogne in Dijon, France, about 1393.

Jean became the father of Marie de Burgogne in Dijon, France, about 1393.

Jean de Burgogne and Margarethe of Bavaria had the following child:

2 i. Marie de² Burgogne was born in Dijon, France about 1393. Marie died February 2, 1440/41 in Paris, France, at 47 years of age. She married Adolf I Duke of Kleve in Kleve, Rheinland, Prussia. Duke was born in Kleve, Rheinland, Prussia. {Duke was the son of Adolf III Count of Kleve and Margarethe ?. Duke became the father of Katharina Princess of Kleve in Kleve, Rheinland, Prussia, May 25, 1417. (See Adolf I Duke of Kleve for the continuation of this line.)

At 23 years of age Marie became the mother of Katharina Princess of Kleve in Kleve, Rheinland, Prussia, May 25, 1417.
