                   Holt Family Cemetery
                     Haley, Tennessee

This cemetery is on Cortner Rd. (Hwy. 269) 1/10 mi. from Bugscuffle Rd. and 1/10 mi.
from Red Hill Rd., near Normandy, TN. The inventory of this cemetery is a family and
homeschool project by David & Jenny Calvin with their children Charity, Julian, &
Lauren. If you find some of your family in this cemetery, we'd love to hear from you!
(dcalvin5@ficom.net)

The graves are arranged roughly in rows. Beginning in the southwest corner, we have
called each row A, B, C, etc., and numbered the graves consecutively. The graves are
not evenly spaced, so the numbers do not line up with each other.

We have compiled an alphabetical index referencing the row letter & grave number.
Keep in mind that wives are listed under their married names, not maiden names.
Also, there are a great many unmarked stones (which obviously could not be
alphabetized), but they are included in the regular listing, which will provide some
indication of the families to which they might belong. The alphabetical index is followed
by a listing of the tombstones with their complete texts exactly as they appear, in order
by rows. We have tried to include notations of engravings such as Masonic symbols
which might be of some genealogical value.

Isaiah 51:1 – "Look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the quarry from
which you were dug."
